The ideal GMAT/GRE score depends on your target schools, competitiveness, and profile strength.
If you are targeting the top schools a score above the 90th percentile on the GMAT or GRE would help and your chances might significantly increase.
Schools are not agnostic about GMAT/GRE both are acceptable – you can take whichever test you are comfortable taking, aim for a higher quant score. If quant is your strength, GMAT might be a better option.
It depends on several factors: GMAT/GRE score, undergraduate GPA, work experience, leadership roles, extracurriculars, and career goals. Top programs look for well-rounded candidates who bring diversity, impact, and leadership potential. If there are gaps, we can work on strengthening your profile before applying.
The right fit schools for you will depend on your career goals, and culture fit. The best fit also depends on your geographic preferences, networking opportunities, and career placement data, so we need to have a deep dive discussion to share a balance of Dream, target and safey schools. Based on the resume and industry experience, some of the schools are suggested.
Based on our experience, you should apply when you are ready to submit a strong application based on your profile and experience. For example, if you have recent job changes, then it might be better to apply in Round 2. We have seen good results in both Round 1 as well as Round 2.
We will select a consultant based on those who have worked successfully with applicants similar to profiles and/or on target schools such as yours. However, closer to application deadlines, we may not be able to give you a choice as our capacity gets filled up quickly. We always suggest to apply to atleast 3-5 schools to get better chances and a balance of schools(dream, target and safety schools) and split your applications between Round 1 and Round 2 cycles to improve your chances.
Ideally, since it is a comprehensive process, and takes 3-4 weeks for one school, our recommendation would be to start as early as possible once you are done with your standardized test, and in case you would like to start the process consecutively you can do so by starting with the mimimum 1 school package and upgrade after you have the score in place.
